Wireless Sensor network, which contains convergence of sensor、distributed informationacquisition and processing、micro electro mechanical and wireless communicationtechnologies, is a novel technology about exploring and processing information. It can beused for real-time monitoring、perception and acquisition information of all kinds ofenvironment or objects, then processing the information and transfer it to user. It takes theenormous implications for human life. Different with traditional wireless networks, theenergy、internal storage and bandwidth of WSN are limited, and the WSN is often running inspecial environment which is not easy to close for human, battery can not be recharged, so asmuch as possible to prolong network lifetime become the vital of design WSN. Now, alongwith the development of node location technology, the routing algorithm which is based onnode’s geographical position information, appears highlight advantage on saving energy andimproving routing efficiency, combined with node location information to designenergy-efficient routing protocol of WSN has important significance.This paper assimilates excellent ideas from existing routing protocols, directs atunmanned underwater information monitoring system, and considers optimize resourcemanagement and energy saving, proposes an modified routing protocol which is based onnode’s geographic location of WSN. This protocol combine clumping with geographic routing,clumping network can optimize communication resources and facilitate node management,and data transmission is only on virtual backbone network of higher levels that can reducenetwork congestion phenomenon effectively; For fear of the communication span biggerbetween nodes, the protocol bring the concept of "gateway" to achieve the networkconnectivity and data routing procedure; the route nodes which does not exist the process ofrouting maintenance, choose the next hop directly by location information. meanwhile, Inview of "local optimization", designs abnormal forwarding mechanism to ensure the routingreliability. Finally, this paper simulates the protocol by NS2 simulation platform and analysesthe performance by comparing the results in different dynamic of the network.
