Research And Application Of Parametric Design Management System Development Methods Based On UG

The rapid response to the market demands is one of the necessary abilities of companies in new century. UG is widely used in the construction industries and mechanism Industries because of its all-sided function in CAD, CAE and CAM. Even it is an integrated system, it can’t meet all the demands. How to solve the problems such as lots of similar models design and design documents manage. It makes us to think about a new system with the function of parametric design and also the document management.This thesis meet the demand of the companies, used the UG secondary development tools,made a study of various development methods base on UG for parametric design and document management. This system integrated the functions of user management, parametric modeling, model files management, database management and processing of simulation, completed a process from design to simulation.With CAD technology and Computer Software Interface technology, the system added the idea of layered authority in the user management part. Also this thesis offered two parametric design approach and two kinds of interface design methods. The system developed with UG/Open MenuScript, UG/Open UIStyler, UG/Open API, UG/Open Grip language, MFC interface design and API calls, also integrated the database application and management technology to make the important functions such as parametric modeling, model files management and database management come true.
