With the rapid development of interactive services, broadband access networks need to offer higher uplink bandwidth to these services. The demand for bandwidth of sophisticated multimedia applications ranges from a few hundred Kbps, up to several tens of megabytes.It is estimated that by next few years, the explosive growth of the bandwidth-based business will make broadband access network technology the focus of attention.The thesis presented the research of PON network based on FTTH. First, it describes the bandwidth requirements for home users and telecom operators in the wireline broadband access network construction of the latest trends.Through the comparative analysis of FTTH and FTTB construction modes, the obvious advantages of FTTH in bandwidth, power, marketing, business and other technologies are suggested. FTTH should be an important solution in future home wired broadband access network construction.Secondly, the thesis focuses on the PON network construction strategies based on FTTH construction mode, including OLT sink strategy, splitter set, ODN Optical Distribution Network Construction Strategy, etc. If FTTH is chosen and construction background is permitted, the distribution of the combined business OLT/splitter sink, split ratio may be an optimal solution to enlarge the transmission pipelines and save resource design.Finally, by analyzing the transmission of the wireless access network of WLAN, the best PON+AP building design that intergrates the wired and wireless access network construction is given in order to save resources and network construction investment. |
