With the rapid development of internet technology, after newspapers, broadcast and television media, Network media has been one mainstream media quickly. Network media’s social responsibility has been attracting extensive attentions. Social Responsibility is an obligation which can protect and benefit the whole society, while the media keeping continual development. Nowadays, Network media’s social responsibility has been a heatedly-discussed issue among society, government and media industry. However, the research on network media’s social responsibility has been in its infancy, and the relevant theoretical and empirical studies have still been further improved.Network media’s social responsibility is a necessity of sustainable development on media, an inexorable trend of the times, and an objective requirement of social development. Firstly, Seen from the practice of the network media who shoulders social responsibility, the network media in China has made significant progress and valuable exploration. However, there still exist "social responsibility decline" phenomenon and the general level is not high. By analyzing the reasons why the phenomenon appears and learning from some theories of relative media’s social responsibility aboard, it can be found the network media in China should establish social responsibility consciousness, enhance the ability to fulfill social responsibility continuously. Network media’s construction in ethics has been strengthened continuously by the management and supervision of government and society.
