Study On The Mobile Multimedia Services Base On The Background Of Network Convergence

Triple play has brought unprecedented opportunities and challenges to the industry of information and communication technology. Converged services have played a very important role in the industry of triple play. Both the mobile internet services and the radio & TV service such as CMMB service, interactive TV service and IPTV service are the typical triple play services. The former service reflects the integration of the internet and the telecommunications network. The latter services reflect the integration of the radio & TV Network and the telecommunications network.Basing on the unique nature of the telecommunications network, it is easy to establish a close relationship with both the internet and the radio & TV network. Therefore, the new business model of current telecommunications services, which contributes to the complement of the three networks’advantage and increases the interaction with the user, is needed to be finding out. Under the guidance of the new business model, Converged mobile multimedia services’innovation will be a key step in the telecom operators’transition to the full-service operations.In this paper, an in-depth study is done into the mobile multimedia services. The study involves three parts, including the classification of the service, the service models and the profitability models of the service. Meanwhile, corresponding development proposals of the service’s business model are put forward. Then, it gives a detailed description and analysis on both the classification of converged services and the related key technologies. In the analysis, both the CMMB technology and the Mashup technology are emphasized. Next, the case basing on the previous analysis is proposed. And a detailed analysis related to both the case’s design and the case’s technology is conducted. The case makes a combination of the CMMB service and the Mashup service, achieving the complement of the broadcast television networks, the computer networks, and the telecommunication networks. At the end of this thesis, it points out the next step of working, and gives a summary of this thesis.
