Public Transportation System is definitely an important part of urban transportationsystem, the development of Intelligent Public Transportation System becomes moreand more important for the release of congestion of urban traffic. Recently, with theimplementation of priority of public transportation from the ministry of construction,location and tracking productions will be set on lots of buses. However, no GPSVehicle Terminal System could achieve all of the functions because variation mayoccur with different conditions, it is necessary to produce kinds of productionsaccording to the market requirement.Consult a lot of literatures and projects, do study of ARM-processor and embeddedsystem, based on GPS and GPRS technology, the thesis proposed a design anddevelopment method of Intelligent Public Transportation Vehicle TerminalSystem(IPTVTS) based on ARM. Firstly, the performance indicator of the system isanalyzed and the overall design scheme is given; It follows that describe the details ofthe key techniques in systems design, the hardware working principle and circuitdesign are described, the software design ideas and software development process ofsome modules are also provided; At last, build up the platform for system debugging,describe the details of the debugging process of some modules, and make out theproblems that should be noticed during the debugging process, introduce somedebugging results and the summarization of the system, to achieve the requirements ofpractical application, the next major works are improve and update the system.
