Wise Home System Based On Intelligent TV Carrier

With the improvement of living standards, people’s needs on the home environmentis increasing, therefore intelligent home has been the basic trend in the development ofresidential construction. In the “12th Five-Year Plan”, China has clearly made theInternet of Things as a strategic emerging industries to nurture and develop, whileclearly made intelligent home as one of12key application areas of the Internet ofThings. The smart home industry in China has developed in earnest for nearly20years,a variety of R&D products, but due to various reasons, the smart home products neverentered the ordinary people’s homes.First, this paper describes the rise, development status and bottlenecks encounteredof the intelligent home, then puts forward innovative research programs-wise homecontrol systems. The system innovatively makes system central control platform andset-top boxes integrated in the TV system to constitute the structure of the smart TV. Weput forward smart home system based on smart TV, which is constituted by centralcontrol platform and home subsystems. The central control platform includes ARMprocessor which transplants the linux operating system, power line carrier transceivermodule used for home network, GPRS module used for achieving wireless networkcommunication, voice operating system used for achieving voice operation and powermodule used for providing power and emergency power to each module. The controlplatform enables functions of picture in picture, voice control, self-learning and so on.Home subsystems include smart appliances subsystem, smart lighting subsystem, healthinformation systems, security subsystem, and energy-saving operation subsystem.Communications of subsystems and host control platform are the way of power linecarrier. Taking the particularity of the security into account, it takes power line carrierand signal line powered by power supply modules to transmission signals.The paper describes the technical characteristics and the basic structures of thesmart home control system. And based on this, we put forward the implementations ofsmart home control system and all kinds of functions. Then we describe in detail theprinciples and implementations of the GPRS communication. Then the hardware andsoftware programs of the ARM processor module, GPRS module, power line carriermodule, power module and other circuits, and interface design and implementation ofthe host computer operating software. Finally, we make a brief conclusion of the design and implementation and make recommendations and outlooks of follow-up work.
