| The purpose of this paper is to achieve the radio transmission of Internet Application (IA) controllable information. This paper deals with the concept of IA and Home Networking and their development in the world, describes the necessity and imminence of developing the Home Networking. Comparing some kind of available home networking technique results in the conclusion that radio is the trend of home networking. In this paper, home gateway, which is the key device in home networking, is discussed with the emphasis on its definition, function and construction. The GPRS (General Packet Radio Service) is discussed in details. Aiming at the require of IA remote control in home networking a project of IA control information wireless transmission system based on GPRS is designed, especially the IA remote control technology through home gateway is discussed. The means of data transmitting in this project is GPRS networking of China Mobile. The scheme of the charge based on the flux of data and always online is cheaper and more reasonable.The focus of this paper is put on the development of home gateway part, and the main breakthrough is the combination of GPRS wireless access technique and embedded technique in the home gateway. The platform is constructed by the embedded development kit, GPRS module and Bluetooth module. The application software and driver are developed based on the embedded Linux operating system. The function of wireless Internet access and IA control signaling transmission have been finally accomplished .The system testing is proved to have the characteristics of radio transmission, always-online, stabilization, reliability and low cost. It meets the expected requirement. |
