As the continuous development of network and communication technology as well as the improvement of people's living standard, the realization of remote control of Home Intelligence has become an inevitable trend. In this paper, a Home Intelligent management platform, which combines home applications, burglary protection system and hydroelectric system organicly, is established by using embedded system combined with GPRS technology and RS485 bus technique to realize intelligent management of home applications and other home systems. Based on the platform, SMS and Internet can be used to realize remote control of the home system.The system in the thesis is divided into two parts: Home Intelligent controller modular and home system modular. In Home Intelligent controller modular which is also the core of the system, the intelligent management of home system and wireless communication of GPRS modular are accomplished. In home system modular, some commonly-used function, such as infrared control of home application, temperature testing, electronic entrance guard system and control of switching signals of home equipment, is realized based on single chip microcomputer. All of them are connected with RS485 bus, through which home system is controlled by Home Intelligent controller.First in the thesis, the background and developing tendency of Home Intelligence are introduced and the essential characteristics and functions are discussed and on the basis of which, the scheme of Home Intelligent control system is presented. In this scheme, GPRS technology is used to realize remote control, RS485 bus technique is used to net the home system, and embedded system is used to establish the developing platform of Home Intelligent controller which can realize intelligent management and control of home applications.In this thesis, then, the design of hardware and software of the system are discussed in detail. Based on the S3C44B0 development boards, the circuit design of external interface of GPRS modular, uart expend, convert of RS485 and home system modular is completed. Also the schematic diagrams and PCBs of them are accomplished. The software design includes three parts: home system modular software design, protocol and communication process of RS485, and software for Home intelligent controller which includes establishment ofμC linux OS platform, sending/receiving SMS and wireless communication of GPRS modular based onμC linux OS. At last, a sum-up and presumption of latter work are presented.
