With the rapid development of science information technology, China hasdeveloped into one of the the world’s largest construction market. But the contrast isindeed the update of the technology in the field of construction industry developmentis very slow. There are a lot of problems in the traditional construction industry, suchas the loss of information, expression of vague, serious deterioration of materials andinefficient, for which we urgently need a new technology and ideas to change thissituation. Against this background, the BIM technology came into being.BIM technology is based on "information" as the core, It runs through the wholelife cycle of the building, it set off a new round of revolution of the constructionindustry. The information level of the construction industry depends largely on thelevel of information in the construction phase. Therefore, for in construction arebrought forward in the field, this paper puts forward the subject—The Research ofVirtual Construction Technology Based-on BIM.This paper introduced and summarized in existing BIM technology and virtualconstruction technology, starting from the construction status and the actual demand,analysis and research the application of the BIM technology in constructionengineering; Then, through a combination of the professional modeling software andsoftware development platform, and study the application practice of the virtualconstruction, realize the visual management of building construction, and combinedwith the programming technology, realized the access function for the specifiedinformation in BIM model and the collision detection function among the building components, respectively, which provide a strong technical support for the subsequentbuilding construction.
