Autodesk Revit Series design software is specializing in building standards for theUnited States and Europe to develop standard and architectural features, the default designtemplates and built-ethnic apply to European and American countries. Thus, the domesticdesigners during the time of the actual project application will need to set the Revit designsoftware default settings and some features of design habit before use. And modify thedesign to conform to national standards and current project needs.Combining with China’s design standards and design habits and using RevitAPI, developthe Revit tools fit for the Chinese market on the BIM platform. Toolset is divided into threeparts, the family database management systems, rapid prototyping tools, equipment tools,implement a total of seven design and development tools, application of these tools relate toall branches of professional architectural design, including architectural, structural, equipment,etc., and therefore has a strong practicality. Revit development toolset main use VS2010compiler, using the C#language, the use of C/S structure, through the RevitAPI calls, usethe database design to implement and optimize the tool functionality, carefully design the flowchart, functional class diagram for each Revit tool and classify all the tools, embedded intothe Revit software, increasingthe integrity ofthe secondary development tools.In the process of design and implementation, we have extensive collection ofdesigner feelings and experience in the design and the Revit users, successfully designedthe Revit tools in line with the requirements of the China’s Building Code, the Familydatabase management systems. And compliance with domestic designer’s habits, wedesigned and implemented rapid prototyping toolset and equipment toolset in this paper. Byusing Revit tools, the work efficiency greatly improved and the occurrence of errorsreduced, these tools achieve the desired design requirements.
