Agile Management In The Development Of The Internet Booking System

With the increasing demand for software products, development teams need to facethe dramatic changes in internal and external environment, as well as increasinglycomplex organizational structure. The methodologies of software developmentmanagement need to be able to adapt and deal with the changing of requirements,technologies, people and many other factors. In order to meet the customerrequirements, the development team needs to respond flexibly to various situations,not only to improve the efficiency of software development but also to establish anefficient team. The traditional software project management theory can’t comfort forthe management requirements of modern software development. Agile managementbecame popular in recent years. It brings innovation to current software developmentenvironment, trying to compensate for the deficiencies of traditional methods. Agilemanagement is a set of practice methods collectively, these methods pay moreattention to the role of the human in software development process, and meanwhilethey are emphasizing on team communication and cooperation, fast iterative,continuous innovation and adaptability.Internet booking system is a large-scale information system. It has complex systemrequirements which change frequently, and attract a wide range of social attention. Inorder to investigate how agile management improves software project manageabilityin complex environment, two research methods are used in this paper, one is literatureresearch, and the other is case study. First, introduces the background of the case andthe related management issues. And then analyze the practice of project managementabout how to using agile methods to solve the encountered problems. According to thepractice in effect, summarizes the advantages of agile management and areas forimprovement in this project, which will provide useful project managementexperiences for future similar projects. Finally, summarize the dissertation.
