Wind energy is renewable and clean, and wind power which is produced by wind energy currently accepted as green electricity that will develop quickly. This paper analyzes and expounds how to transmit and monitor important data, which is produced in the process of wind turbine operation, by focus on communication and monitoring functions between PC and single chip microcomputer. This paper discusses both hardware and software development in detail, based on the MODBUS/TCP protocol, to achieve the communication and monitoring function between PC and single chip microcomputer. In terms of hardware, it chose STMicroelectronics highly performance STM32F107, with32b core ARM Cortex-M3, as master controller and to simulate the fan as well. And select DM9161as a network chip, and then combined with related peripheral circuits to build a hardware platform. For software, select μC/OS-Ⅱ real-time operating system, which is a simple and efficient, open source, and has good real-time feature. Then transplant the operating system to STM32F107. For communication, using Ethernet, applying LwIP that based on TCP/IP protocol, to communicate, while using MODBUS protocol in the communicate application layer to achieve a real-time transmission of fan data. On PC using ADO to develop Access database, in order to store data translated from STM32F107micro controller. Also, write a monitoring software using VC++in Visual Studio2010development platform, to monitor real-time data and query historical data.By the running result, the design has been successfully achieved communication and monitoring function, proved the feasibility of its design, and also has certain guidance for practical application.
