With the development of computer and communication technology in recent years, the remotevideo acquisition has been become more and more widely in security monitoring, automationequipment and many other application areas. And in these application areas, the remote videoacquisition plays an important role and brings an enormous social effect. But with the emergenceof wireless communication technology, people want much more higher requirements to remotevideo acquisition. They hope that the area of video acquisition is larger, the resolution of video ishigher and the quality of picture is better. Fortunately, the improvement of video compressionalgorithm and the emergence of3G wireless network technology provide the technical support tosolve the above problems. The subject, which is based on the3G wireless network technology andMPEG-4compression technology, achieves the collection of video in the way of point to point andsolves the above problems successfully.The system consists of3G network video camera and PC client mainly.3G network videocamera takes the S3C6410ARM11multimedia processor as control core, completes the videoimage’s acquisition and MPEG-4compression, and then does the data transmission through3Gwireless network; Client PC uses the DirectShow architecture, completes video image’s receiving,MPEG-4decoding and playing.This thesis discusses the specific design of the system, mainly including the following aspectsof work:(1) Analyzing the research background of the project and the development condition of therelated technologies,and then proposing the research content of the project;(2) Discussing theoverall implementation framework of the system, including software architecture and hardwarearchitecture;(3) Describing the hardware design of3G network video camera in detail;(4)Introducing the cutting and transplantation of WinCE6.0operating system, including the driverdevelopment of the associated peripheral hardware device and the transplantation ofBSP;(5)Discussing the achieving of system software emphatically, including the software design of3G network video camera, the Filter design and the application layer program’s implementation inClient PC, as well as the implement of P2P penetration. And then, some relevant methods whichused in data transmission are researched in-depth, including the UDP adaptive packet method, thelimited retransmission mechanism, and so on;(6) Testing the performance of system, and analyzing the test results;(7) Finally, a summary of the system is carried out and its future work is predicted.The system test results show that the system can real-time transmit the video image whichresolution is64*480and frame rate is about20frames per second. The final video image is clearand smooth and the picture is less damage. So I can say that the system achieves the desired designgoals essentially.
