Based On Mpeg-7, Mpeg-4 Standard Video Retrieval And Digital Video Surveillance System Software Development

With the development of multimedia and network technique, more and more multimedia information is digitized and stored in the Internet all over the world, which makes the information more abundant. However, due to the fast increasing number of material, it becomes more and more difficult to search our interested material. So how to get the material we need quickly and effectively is really becoming a big challenge. Video retrieval is just right for the demand. But the multimedia format is varied, which would lower the generality of retrieval system[11].As a result, the MPEG propose multimedia international standards--MPEG-7named Multimedia Content Description Interface. It is mainly applied to the standardization description of all kinds of multimedia information and to tie the description and the content it describes in order to implement the quick and effective search of multimedia informationalThese years, video monitor is widely used in many fields. The system can be used to watch, control, security defend and intelligent manage the very object through stakeout and safety defense. It is a synthetic management system with strong defense ability[29l With the development of the computer, network, and image process, communication transmission, automation technique, the technique of the video monitor has also made great progress, and now is moving to all digital and network. The software of the video monitor, which is one of the cores of digital video monitor system, should be suitable to various fields, have strong function and be easy to promote.This paper aims directly at these two demands above, and does some research as following.(I)Video retrieval: Use the video coded by MPEG-4 standard whose application prospect is wide as research object, throw away the traditional video retrieval framework.. According to the character, analyze its structure and grammar, abstract characteristic information from the video stream. Based on the MPEG-7, use XML language to describe its character and produce description files. This work is the foundation of a complete video retrieval.(II) Digital video monitor system software: it is based on video catch card and various VC technology synthesis applications. Our purpose is to satisfy the client by developing a system, which can preview, picture record, and blowback etc.
