The Design And Realization Of Gas Turbine Flow Meter Calibration Device Based On LabVIEW

With the rapid development of industrial modernization, especially the fast progress of West-East Gas Project and the general improvement of the residents’gas utilization rate, the accurate measurement of gas flow have shown more and more importance in our country. Gas turbine flow calibration device is a calibration device for calibration various performance indicators of gas turbine flow meter. There are a large number of works related to the gas turbine flow meter for those of gas turbine flow meter manufacturers, which all need the gas turbine flow calibration device to complete. A set of gas turbine flow meter calibration device with measurement precision and convenient operation is of great significance for scientific research and production activities.Typically, the calibration systems of conventional gas turbine flow calibration device are manual or semi-automatic. They have many shorts. The operation process is very complex, the data verification process even needs artificial records, sometimes the test results requires manually calculated, sampling time synchronization is not easy to control, also the calibration speed is too slow, and the error ratio is very high, all of which greatly limits the improvement of labor productivity.This paper began with introduction of the virtual instrument technology. First the virtual instrument technology’s domestic development status, characteristics and advantages were persented and the flow meter’s working principle and the classification were described. Then the implementation of Hardware circuit and mechanical design was introduced, including the selection of sensors, designation of signal conditioning circuit, the use of the data acquisition card PCI8333, and the design of mechanical processing structure and so on. What’s more, the PID control algorithm of Inverter was focused on, and the process and method to achieve PID control were explained. Finally, a real-time display control system with friendly man-machine interface, good measurement accuracy and high efficiency operation was designed in the combination of LabVIEW, which is a perfect graphical programming software.
