Sense of security is considered to be the most important factor to determine themental health by the humanistic psychologist Maslow.Security sense is the basis ofmental health,only own the sense of security can be self-confident, self-esteem so as toestablish trust relationships with others, explore their own potential actively as well astoembrace humane and fully realized value.The main content and research goal of this paper are following:reviewing the pasttheoretical study on thebasisofpsychological insecurity all over the world,accordingto the background of the science and technology universities and theopen-ended interview, the author adapted and revised the original questionnaire basedon the actual interview results, formatted a “Psychological Insecurity Questionnaires onUniversity of Science and Technology Students”, in order to investigate their statusand research the performance dimension, concrete performance and influence factors ofpsychological insecurity of students in universities of science and technology. Theauthor wanted to find outthe differences and causes about the group who are easier tohave psychological insecurity issues by assumptions analysis, and to find ways andmeans to improve students’ psychological sense of security as well as to provide ideasand suggestions on mental health education for colleges and universities.The main conclusions of this paper are as follows:(1) The form of the overall performance, overall causes and dimensions of gender,grade, average scores, campus, and the one-child discipline type and whether a leader inclass of students’ psychological insecurity in universities of science and technology areof discrepancy.(2) There is interplay between the psychological insecurity and personal relationship ofstudents in universities of science and technology. The study results showed thesignificant positive correlation between the overall score of psychological insecurity andthe psychological insecurity degree depended on interpersonal relationships. Besides,it’s also a mutual influence between them.(3) Students in universities of science and technology are more like to find someone to chat, talk, do sports, listen to music to self-comfort, calm down to analyze and find thereason of psychological insecurity. Overall, they prefer to face psychological insecurityin a positive way.(4) Psychological insecurity of students in universities of science and technologypsychological insecurity is negatively correlated with self-efficacy.The higher the levelof psychological insecurity is, the lower the level of self-efficacy will be.(5) In general, mental health knowledge of students in universities of science andtechnology is very accepted, and theyare also willing to ask for help through self-helpbooks, psychological centers or counselors in schools when encounter withpsychological confusion. In addition, most of the students hold the view that mentalhealth lectures offered by the school and the instructor as well as publicity of knowledgeof mental health need to be encouraged and popularized.(6) Psychological insecurity is refers to that the heartof the individual is not safe,andnot fully believe in themselves and others, then have a sense of uncertainty andunpredictability.
