In today’s information explosion, the Internet has gradually been the main way of releasing and disseminating information. With the establishment of virtual community and personal communication space,such as blogs, the network has become the new platform for people to express their views emotion in daily life. However, because of the characteristics of the network, such as anonymity, concealment, universality, spread rapidly and so on, together with a large number of network information is false and multifarious, it is very easy to cause unrest and panic in the virtual community. That will make netizens feel psychological insecurity. If psychological insecurity can’t be effectivly guided, people would join in online collective behavior to express discontent emotion.Online collective behavior is a new way that is different from the traditional way of realistic collective behavior. It might be a new form of the traditional realistic society collective behavior. It might also be the early period of the realistic collective behavior that would cause the realistic collective behavior if it is not controlled. The consequences will be nervous. It is necessary to pay enough attention to prevent and control online collective behavior.Online collective behavior has occurred frequently in our daily life. In previous research, in-depth analysis has been done to find out the generation mechanism and influence factors of collective behavior. Prevention and control measures have been put forward based on the results. In this research, questionnaire survey has been done to make a correlation analysis on psychological insecurity and online collective behavior, including characteristics of security and sense of security. Then exploring the influence of psychological insecurity, social identification by situational simulated methods. At last, making further analysis on the role of the different identity management strategies to defuse online collective behavior.The results of the study are as follows:(1) Both characteristics of insecurity and sense of insecurity have significant positive correlation with online collective behavior intention. Both kinds of insecurity in high level have higher online collective intention. Psychological insecurity is a influencing factor of online collective intention.(2) Sense of insecurity and group identification has interaction on online collective behavior intention. Online collective behavior intention of a person in high-level of sense of insecurity is significantly higher than the one in low-level, while group identiry is in low-level. There is no significant difference while group identiry is in high-level.(3) Selecting a new comparison dimension can undermined intention of online collecetive behavior at high-level of sense of insecurity and high-level of group identity, and low-level of sense of insecurity and high-level of group identity.At the same time,it would significantly improve intention of collective behavior at low-level of sense of insecurity and low-level of group identity. A downward comparison can undermined intention of online collecetive behavior in all three conditions, except at low-level of sense of insecurity and low-level of group identity. Revaluating the negative group attribute can not undermined the collective behavior intention. On the contrary, it can rise the intention at low-level of sense of insecurity and low-level of group identity.
