The course test of colleges and universities is a very important aspect that relatedto the development of schools’ education and teaching. After the foundation of ourcountry, the course test of colleges and universities in Jiang Xi experienced60yearsup and downs. The course test of science and engineering major, agricultural majorand medical major had a distinguishing feature. The development of the test duringthe17years after the foundation of our new country made a great contribution toteaching. After entering the new century, the test of colleges and universities facesmany new challenges.This research use the methods like: literature researches, interviews, comparison,to do empirical study on colleges and universities’ course test. By taking thebackground information into consideration and summarizing the education situationof Jiang Xi in the past17years after our country’s foundation on base, this researchdid a link review and object analysis of the elements that related to test management,like test functions, organizational management, time arrangement, test construction,test scoring, text content, test ways. And the author did a entail analysis and advantageand disadvantage evaluation on test methods like: oral test, written test, course design(paper) evaluation, experiment test, operation test, clinical test, practical test,education and examination production practice examination, the graduation design(paper) evaluation by considering the features of the course. Through the process ofanalyzing the every link of a test and various test methods, just like the old Chinesesaying “Discard the dregs and take the essence” said, in order to promote the coursetest innovation of science and engineering major, agricultural major and medicalmajor in colleges and universities, the author proposed several advices: improve theunderstanding of the test and strengthen test management; follow the rules and makesuitable test content arrangement; pay attention to the scientific nature, and usevarious test methods; activate the motivations, and make the participants diversity;use test to promote teaching, and cultivate students’ comprehensive ability.
