The tremendously increasing underground pipeline has made the its management more and more complicated. The traditional management from the government can not meet its requirement any more.Underground pipeline is a city’s "condensated blood ".It is an essential condition for a city to have organized underground pipelines.In the last several years,the development of GIS technology and its application can make it better the underground pipeline data and describe the space distribution charateristics of the underground pipeline.This paper made the demand analysis and macro-frame design on the premise of undergroud pipeline detecting data of Ganzhou. It builds the city’s comprehensive GIP system with the combination of B/S and C/S which inludes6sub-system like integrated application,dynamic updating, Internet application, public service and so on.The underground pipeline public service makes use of ArcGIS Server software to design and provide the geographical map service like developing and releasing line pipe, road and basic terrain by ArcGIS Server platform. It has the function of data browsing,mapping, inquiring and statising and so on. This system can do th eunderground pipeline and relief map storage with the combined Oracle11g and Geodatabase technology. ArcGIS10is its platform. It also use ArcGIS Engine software to do the pipeline management information system developing and design which includes the function of section, clear distance, booster,collision analysis, data supervising, data calibration,data storage, version management analysis and so on.The system also can provide3D model by using SkyLine and TerraExplorer Pro and it can do the3D analysis and caculating of the pipeline distance (horizontal, vertical,surface area,space caculcation),sight, sight’s spatial analysis, profile and optimum route. All in all, this system combines the NET platform、Sykline TE Prosofaware and ArcGIS Engine software to achieve the intergration of2D and3D in the application of underground pipeline2D and3D.
