Version Of The Management Of Spatial Data Research

Spatial data is an important component of Geographic Information System and plays an important role in the application and development of GIS. The characteristics of spatial data make it's storage and management methods are complex than ordinary data. All along, the units that applicate the spatial data is facing technical problems such as efficient management and rapid update of the massive spatial data, the core of the current GIS data from production of data to update of spatial data, the current potentialis of Spatial data is one of the important symbols that measure its application value. Spatial data management model has also gone through several stages of development, with the continuous development of professional software and database technology, version management mechanism are the results of this development trend. Version management is a highly effective mechanism for spatial data management, it's an effective solutions on implementation of spatial data are multi-user concurrent operation, long transaction processing and management of historical data. it plays an important role in the database construction and maintenance.This article studied the theory related to the version management techniques, the first is Geodatabase Data Model, including its organizational structure, functions and features, it supports multiuser concurrent operation, GIS workflow and transaction processing, it provides technical support for the realization of Version Manager, Geodatabase Version Management represents the general realization methods to object-oriented model of geographic data that based on relational database; the second part Analysised the spatial database engine technology system, described the working principle of ArcSDE, layer structure and its version management mechanism in detail. then analysised the version management techniques through it's the application, including the version technology applicate in the updating of spatial database; analysised an example of version control and made a description to the evolution of version and change of database state in detail.Base on the research above, the author used ArcObjects component-based development tools and VB language, Designed a platform of version management, in the experimental platform can realize the functions such as graphical browsing,editing and version management functions (version creation, Version deletion, Version modification, Version Transformation, version reconcile, version merging, version comparsion, version query), these functions verified the feasibility of version management.
