The version system is a kind of system used to record the history of variable data, and user can query or browser history data conveniently and edit it at the same time.generally, the data managed in version system is referred to some having less relationship with each other. The geo-spatial data is very complicated so it need more consideration.Nowadays, the prevalent trend of GIS is consist of application-oriented software as forepart and RSDB as backpart. When several users edit data simultaneously, they must firstly copy data to native and commit it after finishing the editing job. This multi-user job need long transaction working flow, but the short transaction model of RSDB can not afford to the need of the long transaction working flow used by geo-spatial data updating. So the major content of this passage is below:1.Bringing up the concept of geo-spatial data version management and tell the background of application of geo-spatial data version management.2.According to the research of temporay data model, analyzing the character of several model and devicing some model to be suit for geo-spatial data version management.3.Modeling entity model of geo-spatial data version management, abstracting the action of geo-entity , dividing complicated action features of geo-entities into simple operator cells so that the storage , pick-up and editing of version would be easer.4.Discussion of designation of table about the geo-spatial data version management and setting forth that how many entity models are in geo-spatial database.5.Researches about the storage and pick-up algorithm in geo-spatial data version management.
