Acupuncture Treatment Of Cervical Vertigo Meta-analysis Of Clinical Efficacy

Objective To collect the published acupuncture treatment of cervical vertigo in both Chinese and English of randomized controlled studies before December2011at home and abroad. According to the method of Evidence-based Medicine,analyze the clinical randomized controlled trials of traditional acupuncture versus medicine in treating cervical vertigo which would provide a basis for further clinical research and clinical evidence for acupuncture treatment cervical vertigo.Methods Strictly formulated inclusion and exclusion standard, search PUBMED or MEDLINE、Cochrane Library、EMbase、CNKI、CBM、Wanfang Date and VIP Database comprehensively.Hand searche the"Chinese Acupuncture"Y,"Acupuncture Research"Y,"Journal of Clinical Acupuncture""Shanghai Journal of acupuncture ","Journal of traditional Chinese medicine","new Chinese" published from2001to2011to supplement search. Then extract the literature data, analysis the points of acupuncture in the treatment of cervical vertigo by usage, and different needling method, needling manipulation and the frequence manipulation. Use the number of valid and invalid patients as the evaluation index, evaluation of curative effect of acupuncture in treating cervical vertigo. Statistics treatment using RevMans5.1software provided by Cochrane network. If in research without heterogeneity (P>0.1), use the fixed effect model Meta-analysis, otherwise use the random effect model to analysis. To count data are calculated by using the OR(Odds Ratio, OR)and95%Confidence interval (Confidence interval, CI), P<0.05we think difference have statistical significance. It is necessary to do the publication bias and sensitivity analysis. Funnel plot was used to show publication bias.Results A total of279documents were retrieved, by reading the titles and abstracts screening, then read more carefully and finally into20clinical trials met the inclusion criteria of1705patients. Extraction of information found, Acupuncture treatment of cervical vertigo, utilization rate of fengchi is the highest; triple puncture treatment of cervical vertigo most efficient; during the needle for the needle than the effect of the needle; different needle interval also have an impact on the efficacy.All of them carried out by Meta-analysis. Then do Meta-analysis for the extract data, it shows that acupuncture group and the drug compared to merge OR value is greater than1,95%CI not contains1, the whole OR merge effect test P<0.00001. Funnel chart basic symmetry, the two groups showed that the total effective rate have statistical significance, acupuncture is better than the drug therapy.Conclusion Present evidence shows that:1, Acupuncture as a major means of intervention in the treatment of cervical vertigo condition has obvious improvement;2, Acupuncture treatment of cervical vertigo mainly local points, fengchi,baihui,jingjiaji is the most commonly used;3, The most efficient is triple puncture treatment,the needle acupuncture treatment of cervical vertigo can improve the total efficiency significantly,the best interval is10min;4, Meta-analysis, preliminary suggesting that the total effective rate of the efficacy of acupuncture treatment of cervical vertigo significantly better than drug therapy, which was significantly better than Western medicine alone and the treatment of Chinese combined with western medicine;5,The study included randomized controlled trials still significant gaps in trial design and execution, look forward to more large sample, multi-center, a sufficient follow-up of high-quality randomized controlled trials in the future.
