Objective To learn the level of serum uric acid and investigate therelationship between serum uric acid and the components of metabolic syndromeamong middle-aged and elderly people in rural areas of Changchun.Methods879surveyed people were from7villages of Changchun.Questionnaires and detecting metabolic indicators were included. Questionnaireineludes general situation, previous state of health and health Status of familymemberson. Physieal examination includes weight, waist, SUA, SBP, DBP, TG,HDL-C and FBG. MS was defined by the joint committee of dyslipdemia criterion.SPSS17.0was used for statistic analysis. The measurement data diversity wascompared with t-test, One-Way ANOVA or Kruskal-Wallis H test. The rate wascompared with χ2test. The relationship between SUA andy the components ofmetabolic syndrome were anaiyzed by Spearman Correlate.Results①Among middle-aged and elderly people in rural areas ofChangchun, the serum uric acid level of man in Han is higher than man in Korean,(Han:294.50(206.40,391.95)mmol/L, Korean:276.00(214.10,362.60)mmol/L,P<0.05), the serum uric acid level of woman in Han is higher than woman in Korean(Han:282.40(189.55,377.25)mmol/L, Korean:242.10(180.70,305.90) mmol/L,P<0.05).②SUA is positively correlated to waist, SBP and TG, and negativelycorrelated to FBG.③The prevalence of metabolic syndrome in people withHyperuricemia was24.37%, and the prevalence was10.56%in normal. The Theprevalence of metabolic syndrome in people with Hyperuricemia was significantlyhigher than the normal group (P <0.05).④The risk of people with Hyperuricemia accuring Abdominal Obesity is1.54to normal. The risk of people withHyperuricemia accuring Hypertension is1.29to normal. The risk of people withHyperuricemia accuring High TG is2.34to normal. The risk of people withHyperuricemia accuring Low HDL-C is1.85to normal. The risk of people withHyperuricemia accuring Hyperglycemia is1.92to normal.⑤Waist, SBP wereincreasing with the SUA, and DBP, HDL-C, FBG were decreasing with SUA(man).Waist, SBP were increasing with the SUA, and FBG were decreasing withSUA(woman).Conclusion①Among middle-aged and elderly people in rural areas ofChangchun, the serum uric acid level of Han is higher than Korea.②SUA iscorrelated to waist, SBP, TG, and FBG. High sumer uric acid level could increase theprevalence of Abdominal Obesity, Hypertension and High TG in man, and highsumer uric acid level could increase the prevalence of Abdominal Obesity andHypertension in woman.
