Objective:To choose contralateral meridian needling as a method for the treatment of lumbar disc herniation, Through this method and conventional acupuncture contrast, to observe and summarize the clinical curative effect of the contralateral meridian needling method used in the treatment of lumbar disc herniation.Methods:This subject choosed60cases diagnosed as lumbar disc herniation and conform to the subject of the patients into standard, all from the rehabilitation department ward of Zhongnan hospital of Wuhan university. The male36cases, female24cases. Maximum64-year-old age, the minimum30years old, an average of48.4years; The shortest duration2weeks, the longest23months; According to the principle of random sampling, the patients were randomly divided into two groups:30patients in the treatment group with the contralateral meridian needling method;30patients in the control group with the conventional acupuncture method. The points of the treatment group choosed the healthy side Shenshu, Qihaishu, Dachangshu,Zhibian,Huantiao, Yanglingquan, Heyang and Kunlun; The points of the control group choosed the other side Shenshu, Qihaishu, Dachangshu, Zhibian, Huantiao, Weizhong, Yanglingquan, Heyang and Kunlun. Above two groups are30minutes per treatment, one a day, with10days for a period of treatment, each treatment rest between1day, after two successive treatment effect comparison. Before and after treatment were two groups will end, Record the clinical symptoms, signs, JOA score and VAS data, and the integral before and after treatment after statistics processing are compared.Results:1. After2periods of treatment, two groups of visual analog scale (VAS) comparison:two groups before and after treatment by itself P<0.01, the differences had very significant meaning; After treatment, the comparison between groups, the treatment group and control group had significant difference (P<0.05), the treatment group and control group all can effectively improve lumbar disc herniation patients’experience of pain, but the contralateral meridian needling group was better than the conventional acupuncture group.2.After2periods of treatment, two groups of JOA score comparison:two groups before and after treatment by itself, differences were very significant (P<0.01); After treatment, the comparison between groups, the treatment group and control group hadn’t significant difference (P>0.05), indicating that the treatment group and control group for patients with lumbar disc herniation could effectively improve the lumbar function and the daily living abi li ties, and the curative effects of the two methods were equal.3. The total effective rate of the treatment group was83.33%and the control group was70.00%, two groups in the treatment of lumbar disc herniation obtained good curative effects. Through the Radit analysis, the treatment group on the curative effects was better than the control group. Conelus ion:The method of contralateral meridian needling is simple and easy, it can significantly improve the patients’symptoms, signs and relieve pains, it achieved good clinical curative effect on the treatment of lumbar disc herniation.
