Objective:To observe the clinical efficiancy of shao-fu-zhu-yu decoction as a treatment for primary dysmenorrhea (han-ning blood stasis syndrome), and its impact on coagulation, determined by APTT, TT, PT and FIB testing.Methods:60patients with primary dysmenorrhea due to han-ning blood stasis were randomly divided into a treatment group (30patients) and a control group (30patients). The two groups were seperately treated with shao-fu-zhu-yu decoction and yue-yue-shu particles both for three cycles, and then observed for three cycles. At the same time every patient in the treament groupe were drawed blood just at the pain point three times while be treated at the first12hours of every cycle, while the first blood drawing must be before having drugs.Pain and TCM syndrome scores were observed before treatment, and after3and6cycles of treatment,as well as the changes of APTT, TT, PT, and FIB levels.Results:l.At the effect of relieving pain, the scores of the3rd and6th cycle of both groups were significantly lower than before treatment (P<0.05), and the scores of the6th cycle of both groups were significantly higher than the3rd cycle (P<0.05),saying that the short-term and long-term effects of relieving pain in both groups were significant, and the long-term’s were less effeciant than the short-term’s. There were no significant differences both in the scores of3rd cycles between two groups and the scores of6th cycles between two groups (P>0.05), saying that both the short-term and long-term effects of pain relieving in two groups were similar.2.At the effect of relieving TCM syndrome, the scores of the3rd and6th cycles of both groups were significantly lower than before treatment (P<0.05), and the scores of the6th cycles in both groups were significantly higher than the3rd cycles (P<0.05); The total effect rate of the3rd and6th cycle in the treatment group were seperately86.7%and80.0%,while in the control group were seperately83.3%and76.7%.The differences between short-term rate and long-term rate in both groups were significant (P<0.05), saying that the short-term and long-term effects of relieving TCM syndrome in both groups were significant, and the long-term’s were less efficiant than the short-term’s. There were no significant differences both in the scores of3rd cycles between two groups and the scores of6th cycles between two groups (P>0.05),and the total effect rate differences between both short-term in the two groups and between both long-term in the two groups were not significant (P>0.05),saying that both the short-term and long-term effects of TCM syndrome relieving in two groups were similar. And there were no relations not only between effect and the disease durance but also between effect and pain severity in both groups. 3.The treatment group showed significantly prolonged APTT time (P≤0.05), and shorted PT (P≤0.05), whilst there were no significant changes to TT and FIB (P>0.05),saying that the effect of relieving han-ning blood stasis can come true by affecting the endogenous coagulation. Conclusion:The Shaofuzhuyu decoction therapy for han-ning blood stasis type of dysmenorrhea exhibits a secure efficiancy of pain and TCM syndrome relieving, and indicates the efficiancy of remoting blood moving by an influence on endogenous coagulation.
