Clinical Research Of Tongqiaohuoxue Decoction And Mahuangfuzixixin Decoction In Treating Post-stroke Depression(the Type Of Obstruction Of The Orifices By Blood Stasis)

Objective:To observe the clinical effect of Tongqiaohuoxue Decoction and Mahuangfuzixixin Decoction in treating post-stroke depression(the type of obstruction of the orifices by blood stasis), and to establish the foundation for clinical application.Methods:60patients with post-stroke depression were randomly divided into the treatment group and control group with each group of30.Patients in treatment group were treated with Tongqiaohuoxue Decoction and Mahuangfuzixixin Decoction except the routine western medicine.The control group were given Fluoxetine.The therapeutic courses to both groups were8weeks.Before the treatment, Hamilton Depression Rating Scale(HAMD) and the TCM Syndromes Scale were used to evaluate the degree of depression;and in the2nd,4th,8th week,HAMD was separately used to observe the changes of the depression. When the experiment was finished,the TCM Syndromes Scale was used again to observe whether it has difference between the two groups,at the same time,side effects were monitored.All of these,to evaluate by the changes of the scores.Results:1.To evaluate the effect by HAMD reduced rate.The treatment group:12cases(40%) were significantly effective,11cases(36.7%) were effectual and7cases(23.3%) were unfruitful, with a total effective rate of76.7%. As to the control group,the dates were11(36.7%),13(43.3%),6(20%) respectively,and the total cure rate was80%.There were no significant differences between the two groups (P>0.05).2.The changes of HAMD score before and after treatment.The treatment group in the HAMD score decreased after2weeks of treatment,compared with before treatment,the difference was significant(P<0.05);the control group’s HAMD score began to decline after4weeks,the difference was significant(P<0.05);after the treatment of2and4wecks,the HAMD score was difference between the two groups,the treatment group was better than the control group(P<0.05). But8weeks later,there was no difference between the two groups(P>0.05).3.Comparison of the efficacy of TCM Syndromes.The total effective rate of the treatment group was86.7%,and the other group was63.3%,they had significant difference(P<0.05).4.Compared with side reaction.The occurrence rates of adverse effect were zero and13.3%for treatment and control group respectively. The main side effective were dry mouth,constipation and nausea.Conclusion:. Tongqiaohuoxue Decoction and Mahuangfuzixixin Decoction is effective in the treatment of Post-stroke depression.It can significantly improve the syndromes of depression and it has a rapid onset without side effect.So it was worthy to be popularized.
