Objective:To study the effects of therapy of Shu-le Decoction on post-stroke depression(PSD).Methods:Sixty cases with minor or middle PSD were randomly divided into Chinese medicine treatment group(n=30) and fluoxetine treatment control group(n=30).All the patients were given the basic therapy of cerebrovascular disease equally.Basis on this, the Chinese medicine treatment group were treated by Shu-le Decoction once daily;and control group were given fluoxetine(20mg once daily) only.Respectively before and after treatment 2W, 4W,8W.Using HAMD scale to assess its depression; The SNSS scale treatment were assessed patients' neurological function before and after, the TESS was used as monitoring adverse drug reaction. Two pre-treatment data (including age, sex, disease, stroke type, the extent of pre-treatment of depression, the degree of neurological deficit) using chi-square test and a balanced t test. Before and after treatment 2W,4W,8W of HAMD Scale score compared using one-way ANOVA,SNSS Scale score before and after treatment comparison using paired t tests, two groups of classification used Ridit analysis of efficacy. Results:The two groups of patients' pre-treatment data by chi-square test and t test were comparable(P>0.05).There were significant effect of the two groups, efficient in more than 75%,efficacy classification analysis by Ridit no significant difference(P>0.05).Shu-le Decoction group was accessed by HAMD score began to decline after two weeks, compared with before treatment, the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05);Prozac treatment's HAMD score began to decline after 4 weeks, the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05);the treatment of 2 weeks,4 weeks after the HAMD score difference between the two groups was statistically significant(P<0.05), the two groups after 8 weeks the treatment SNSS score were higher compared with before treatment were statistically significant(P<0.05),but the Shu-le Decoction group increased more compared with the fluoxetine group were statistically significant(P<0.05);two groups of patients are No obvious adverse reaction. Conclusion:Both Shu-le Decoction and Prozac can mitigate post-stroke depression in patients with depression, and have a considerable effect. But Shu-le Decoction have fast effect, the role of stable, little adverse reactions. both can improve PSD patients' neurological deficit, but the Shu-le Decoction more significant than the effect of Prozac. However, due to the smaller sample size of this study, which was observed a relatively short time,it still need to be further observed in clinical studies.
