Object ivesTo observe the clinical therapeutic effect on curing the LIDP patients through electro-Acupuncture with reducing the Qihai acupoint (RN6) by twirling needle, it has important and practical significance in exploring a new therapeutic method clinically which is safer, more easily operated and definitely more effected.MethodsA total of60LIDP patients which is matched the requirements were randomly divided into treatment group and control group with30patients in each. The control group patients were treated with electro-acupuncture, while the treatment group patients were given external-application of reducing the Qihai acupoints(RN6) by twirling needle, five times a week, three weeks a course of treatment. JOA scale and VAS scale were observed before and after the treatment to evaluate the therapeutic effect.ResultThere was no statistics-difference between the two groups, including age, gender, score of VAS-scale and JOA-scale, all of them recorded before the treatment(P>0.05).1. After the therapy, the treatment group had a cured&significant improved rate of73.33%, and a total effective rate of96.67%, and9cases were cured,13cases were significant improved,7cases were improved,1case had no effect. The control group had a cured&significant improved rate of43.33%, and a total effect rate of86.67%, and4cases were cured,9cases were significant improved,13cases were improved,4cases had no effect. The effect of two groups had significant difference.2. The VAS and JOA evaluation of two groups were both promoted, while the effect of the treatment group was much better than the control group in therapeutic effect.Cone I us ionAfter three weeks of treatment, The method of electro-Acupuncture with external-application of reducing the Qi-hai acupoint (RN6) had positive effects on LIDP patients. It improved the quality of life at the same time. Besides, the curative effect was superior to the control group (p<0.05)...
