The Clinical Study Of Acupuncture Combined With Ensiform Hooking Needle Technique In The Treatment Of Protrusion Of Lumbar Intervertebral Disease

ObjectiveThis project is subject to the common clinical and frequently-occurring protrusion of lumbar intervertebral disease,utilizing the method of random selection and comparison in 60 cases.The treatment group which accepted the filiform needle acupuncture combined with ensiform hooking needle technique for two courses of treatment while the control group was treated with only filiform needle acupuncture.Through the JOA low back pain evaluation system and McGill Pain Questionnaire,this project provides objective evaluation by analyzing statistically and comparing comprehensively with the two clinical effects.MethodsThis study assessed 60 cases of protrusion of lumbar intervertebral disc,and which were distributed randomly and averagely into two groups.The treatment group which accepted filiform needle acupuncture combined with ensiform hooking needle technique,while the control group was treated with the filiform needle acupuncture.As for the control group,the patients were cured every other day for two courses and each course lasts for two weeks.However,the treatment group had the same frequency of treatment with the same points,but the ensiform hooking needle technique was adopted in every last treatment of the courses.After two courses of treatment,the scores of JOA low back pain evaluation system and McGill Pain Questionnaire were recorded,and the clinical effects were compared under the statistical sofeware SPSS19.0.ResultsAfter two courses of treatment,the total efficacy rate of the treatment group was 90%,while the control groups was 86.67%.There was no statistically significant difference between two groups(P >0.05),nonetheless,the curerate and improvement of symptoms in treatment group was significantly better than the control group(P<0.01).Comparison of baseline data,the two groups of patients before treatment did not have statistically significant difference in PRI?PPI and VAS scores.Moreover,the PRI?PPI and VAS scores of both the treatments and control groups declined after treatment,revealing the significant improvement in relieving the pain.According to data analysis and processing,the filiform needle acupuncture combined with???techniques in improving function recovery is more significant than standard acupuncture techniques.ConclusionThe result of this research preliminarily displays that the filiform needle acupuncture with ensiform hooking needle technique has great effect of relieving pain and recovering the basic function in daily life.This safe,reliable and effective method could be considered as one of the clinical conservative treatments for protrusion of lumbar intervertebral disc,and which could be promoted and applied in clinical application.
