| Purpose: To observe the differences among various needle-retenting time in superficial needling therapy for lumbar intervertebral disc protrusion, and to explore the effect of retaining needle time on clinical efficacy and then to give guidance to the clinic.Method: 200 cases in accordance with the inclusive criteria were randomly divided intoGroup 1(with 0 minute needle retention),Group 2(with 8h needle retention),Group3(with 12 h needle retention),Group 4(with 24 h needle retention),Group5(ordinary acupuncture).40 cases in each group.Totally 10 days were as a therapeutic session.Comparing the symptoms and signs before and After the treatments and the VAS scoring and JOA scale scoring table.Result: The therapeutic effeets in superficial needling group II,III and IV were better than ordinary acupuncture group and superficial needling group I.With the comparison of the VAS scores before and after the treatments, superficial needling group I were better than ordinary acupuncture group.but were inferior to superficial needling group II,III and IV.With the comparison of the JOA scores before and after the treatments, group I were inferior to ordinary acupuncture group. Conclusion: Superficial needling is effective for lumbar disc herniation and 8h needle retention is enough with proper therapeutic procedures. But it has not been proved that the clinical effect can get better with the extension of needle-retenting time. |
