Our kindergarten building as a small public buildings, compared to other types of public building starts late, development is more backward, so in the design defects. Especially in the building space layout design it have problems that space and function is not perfect, layout unreasonable, cannot meet the needs of children and aesthetic needs, can’t promote the development of child-care work etc. Therefore, the study on this topic is of great significance.This thesis chooses the numerous domestic and foreign examples, focus on domestic and foreign buildings of kindergarten as the research object, by in-depth researching of the domestic and foreign kindergarten from the construction site selection, construction in the plane layout of positional relationship, building plane function, architecture plane layout form, as well as movable unit layout combination form and other aspects of the architectural space layout form, summed up China’s and foreign kindergarten building space layout types characteristics and existing problems, and puts forward the suggestions to solve, for logical children architectural space layout design provides a reference value.
