The education for children not only has a profound impact on the development of their life, but also greatly affects the development of the country and the future of the nation. The kindergarten building design is not only provide a simple place for children to teaching, recreation and playing, but also put the indoor space and outdoor places organic organization together, and create a space for communication, creativity and fun.Educational concept plays a very important influence on the design and planning of kindergarten building. Based on the different educational concept, Domestic and foreign kindergarten building s have their own characteristics. In this paper, first of all, we reviewed and analyzed the history of education concept and the kindergarten building design in China and the West, mainly introduces the influence of the educational concept on the kindergarten buildings design. Then, select a number of domestic and foreign nursery examples, compare of the kindergarten buildings in China and the West in many aspects, such as building site selection, general layout, plane function and activity unit layout. Points out the similarities and differences between Chinese and Western kindergartens, and analyzes the reasons for its formation, and puts forward the design principles and development direction. In order to provide reference for the future kindergarten buildings design.
