Construction hoist also called building construction elevator, is used for transportingpeople and cargo in the construction. Construction hoist is consisted of the frame guide, supportframework, cage, and safety mechanism. Along with the development of the technology andeconomy, skyscrapers are emerging one after another. The demand for construction hoist isincreased greatly, and also put forward higher requirements for the safety. The frame guide isan important part of the construction hoist, and it’s strength characteristics plays an importantrole in the safety of the construction hoist. Compared to static stress, the enormous dynamicstress caused by the dynamic load which is produced when construction hoist is working maydamage the hoist., so we need to analysis the dynamic characteristics of the construction hoist.Safe plier is the most important safety device of the construction hoist, its performance isdirectly related to the safety of the person and cargo in the hoist.With the development of science and technology, the traditional design methods can’tmeet with the modern design requirements. In order to shorten the development time, reducethe costs, the engineers should predict the technical performance of the products accuratelywhen design, and need to analysis the static and dynamic performance of the structure, thetemperature field, the flow field, the electromagnetic field etc.. The finite element method isone of the methods to solve these problems, and ANSYS is a widely used FEA software.This paper use the APDL of ANSYS for re-development, writing special program for thereal-time control of the modeling, parameters input and post-treatment procedures; make theprocess of construction hoist structure static analysis modularization, saving the model time,and make the analysis procedure efficient. Then conduct modal analysis, and get the first6natural frequency and vibration modes, provide a reference for the optimized design andvibration stability analysis of the construction hoist.Finally, This paper build a finite element model of the safe plier wedge of constructionhoist in ANSYS, analysis its statics mechanics performance and topology optimization ofdesign, got the deformed shape, Von mises stress and the topological optimization resultsunder the worst work conditions, this provide a reference for the design of the constructionelevator safe plier wedge.
