Hoist is one of the important hoisting machinery which used to open and close thesluice gate and the trash rack so as to adjust water current, control flood, store water, get rid of sediment and so on. It's quality and performances have an importantinfluence to operation and benefit of the hydropower station, and even to people'sproperty and their lives. Therefore, it is very necessary that develop a Hi-Q hoist withadvanced technologies and methods.Based on the sufficient argumentation, the stationary winding hoist is studied anddesigned by using the method of 3D parametric modeling and finite-element analysisin this paper. First of all, completing the design and calculation of the hoist inmechanical design theory. Then building the 3D model of it by 3D parametric softwarePro/E, and realizing the computer animation of its windlass mechanism. Finallyanalyzing the bracket and obtaining the stress-strain diagram of it by finite-elementanalysis software ANSYS. The results have certain directive function to improve thequality and process of hoist. With 3D modeling, animation and finite-element analysis, it is not only improvedlevel of design, but also shorten the design time and reduced cost, so that tremendouseconomic benefits and social benefits can be made for both enterprises and society. The techniques and methods used in this paper have reference value to design anddevelopment of other machinery.
