Dual frequency Echo-sounder is a small instrument of sounding. The range is less than300meter. The distance between the transducer and bottom is measured when transducer faceto bottom, the distance between the transducer and surface is measured when transducer faceto surface.In this article, the modularization of instrument is demonstrated and designed.Compared with traditional Echo-sounder, the advantages are as follows.·The configuration and function can be cutout for applicability. As applying thefreshwater, the port, the lake and the shallow sea, and some complex complex such as greatdisturb, thick silt etc., dual frequency Echo-sounder has higher credibility than singlefrequency. As also, the transform between dual and single frequency is easy because thehardware have no use for change. To some working in water such as drag, sub etc., thedistance of between objects and bottom or surface can be measured by different fix oftranceducer.·Display mode can be choosed. To applying system compositive, depth communicationcan be sent. To applying simple display, depth value can be showed by LED. To applyingcomplex disply as scatter echo strongness and the floor state, display and control terminal thatbe composed of PC104computer, matrix keyboard, LCD can be choosed.·Small volumes, easy maintenance and good suitability.In this article, some question of dual frequency Echo-sounder such as scheme designing,engineering realization, test validating and environment suitability is discussed and studied.The result indicate that dual frequency Echo-sounder working stable, capability credibility.Itcan be applying measure and study in diversified water circumstance.
