Echo Sounder On Dsp + Fpga-based Digital System Design

Digital depth sounder is used to measure the depth of river, lough, seacoast, offing and so on,in order to map the chart or investigate the hydrology or reconnoitre the project.Firstly, the principle, the componnent and the depth algorithm of the digital depth sounder are discussed in this paper; the digital signal processing system based on DSP and FPGA is designed as the core of digital depth sounder; the designing of peripheral interface cell based on FPGA is discussed in detail, including the digital interface of tranceiver, NMEA0183 data tranceicer, the LCD controller, the interface of system clock, the interface of printer, the keyboard interface and the controlling of system reposition; the designing of system program based on DSP is also a primary content, the incepting and processing of NMEA0183 data, the incepting, processing and roll display of sampled data,the storage of history data and the reading of system time are completed.At last, the hardware and software of the digital depth sounder system are debuged, the feasibility of the designing project is proved by the result.
