With the economic development, market competition has shifted from the material resources to human resources. As the core and important means of modern human resource management, performance management has attracted more and more managers'attention. In XB Corporation, the current performance appraisal can not work effectively to mobilize the enthusiasm of employees. What's more, it has become the constraints of employees potentiality and the obstacles of the company. Hence there is an urgent need to re-build a set of practical performance management system to enhance the enterprise's internal management and core competitiveness.In this paper, we have the principle of integrating theory with practice and combining qualitative with quantitative. Through the integrated use of a questionnaire survey, documentary research and interviews, we intend to put the performance management theory into practice in XB company. First, we will diagnose the problems of performance management in XB Company, using the questionnaires and interviews. Second, we use the performance management theory to propose the design idea of performance management in XB.In the design of performance management systems, we put the importance on the design of performance indicators and the process of performance management. In the indicators system, we focus at the individual KPI,as well as the standards and assignment of KPI. In the performance management process, we designed the program of corporate performance management including performance plans, performance implementation, performance evaluation and performance feedback interview, which is suitable for XB company. Finally, we ensure the smooth and effective implementation of the new performance management system through the organization, institution and cultural system.This paper introduced the concept of performance management into XB company, which will improve and enhance the level of its performance management. At the same time, we also expect to give some suggestions to the management of such enterprises.
