Abstract/Summary:
As computer technology is widely used in the field of education, computer supported collaborative learning (CSCL) is studied more and more. How to evaluate the individual learning benefit is a critical issue in CSCL research field. At present,the research about individual learning evaluation is still in infancy in China. Most of the studies don't well evaluate the individual learning benefit in real-time and effectively from computers' perspective. This situation leads to a certain lag of computer support for CSCL. How to reflect the collaborative learning effect of the individual in real-time, effectively and accurately by computer technology and provide strong support for CSCL is a long-term subject to be studied in depth.In CSCL, students with different backgrounds have different understanding at the same materials of learning task. The process of individual learning is described with ontology technology in this thesis to achieve consistency of understanding about knowledge in the field of CSCL between individuals as well as between individual and computer. The individual assessment is a complex problem in CSCL. This thesis try to assess the learning of individual learning gains from the contribution of individual knowledge, the interactive mode and the level of individual participation through analyzing the process individual learning activities. Through the text pre-processing method (Chinese word segmentation, stop word filter and so on) and semantic similarity calculating technology, the semantic similarity between the individual knowledge contribution and the corresponding property values of the ontology instances in corpus as well as between the individua interactive mode and the corresponding property values of the ontology instances in corpus is calculated. which provide a basis for the individual learning assessment. On this basis, automatic assessment model is established,which contains data collection,individual assessment and automatic feedback mechanism. Based on semantic similarity matching results and individual interactions level,the model provides the suggestions about individual learning strategies to achieve the assessment feedback automatically,which provides the basis for the timely adjustment of the individual learning strategies and evaluation of the group of CSCL and enhance the support of computer technology for CSCL. The main work and innovation in this thesis include:1. Descripeing individual learning process of CSCL with the ontology. The process of individual learning is described with ontology technology to achieve consistency of understanding abuout knowledge in the field of CSCL between individuals as well as between individual and computer.2. Preprocessing of interactive information. The interactive information of ontology instance can be obtained from ontology instance by Jena.These datas are preprocessed by text-preprocessing technology such as chinese words segmentation, stop words filtering and so on.3. Achieving assessment based on the semantic similarity. The semantic similarity is calculated between the interactive datas and the corresponding property values of the ontology instances in corpus,which provide the basis for the assessment of model.4. Constructing the CSCL learning platform. Design and construct web-based learning platform to support verifiable basis for evaluation model.
