With the rapid development of automobile industry, the electronic control technology applied in vehicle more and more widely. From the first application of the electrical appliances in the car to now a number of electronic control units being used, such as engine control unit, body control module, transmission control unit and other control module. The body control module is one of the automotive electronic control units, including wiper washing, anti-theft alarm, lamp control, window control, and airbags etc. Currently, some domestic auto parts manufactures are also trying to develop their own brands of body control module, and the BCM is already in mass production stage, but the performance of the products still in the low-end stage, the foreign products occupy the majority of market share. Therefore, to improve product performance and accelerate the development process is a priority. It is an essential part for the BCM testing in the process of developing products or before out of factory. A self-developed test system is needed for accelerate BCM development process.And the paper is based on the hardware in the loop test, then hardware in the loop simulation test for BCM be proposed, BCM closed-loop testing schedule be greatly improved after separate from the vehicle bench. Improving the product's features and control strategies, eliminating BCM's fault in the testing stage, and avoiding the risk of product recall.The entire test system is designed, mainly solved the test bench set up, the design of the hardware part, the design of the software part, and the final functional verification. The entire test system is adopt to host-target computer mode, In the xPC Target environment, realized the target computer real-time environment running. The hardware part design including fault injection unit and simulation load design, and the fault injection unit includes four modes:normal mode for the signal, the open circuit mode, connect to power mode and connect to ground mode. The software part is mainly related to the fault injection unit and PC software design, importing model in PC software and the parameters of the configuration, For the function of the BCM, some test case be written, and some controller functions be verified, Finally, analyzing the result of test.
