Usb-based Hardware And Software Co-verification Platform Design

IC design is an industry which high investment long research and development cycle, it requires every aspect of the process is correct and reliable for such a risk industry. Design verification is an effective way to ensure the design to meet the requirements, and it already becomes an essential part of the whole semiconductor industry. Along with the integration increasing of very large scale IC, verification in the IC design process is also growing share of the possession.Designer can analyze the design is correct and reasonable or not by computer software simulation, but it will consume a long time which is unacceptable when our design is very large. Collaborative of software and hardware authentication verification was raise to solve this problem. Software and hardware co-verification technology is one of the main projects of our lab; this powerful collaborative verification platform combines the computer software and outside hardware by PCI bus. In order to make it more flexible, I designed this USB-interface hardware and software collaborative verification platform base on the original project techniques of our lab.How to build an environment like the object design's real working condition is the main idea of this project design. FPGA has flexible configuration which can provide the input and output interface which is required of object design, than you can let the device running by sending control signals and verification or test data through the computer's USB port. By verifying and analyzing the output data and output state, verification and test result is obtained.After this project design completed, the test results show that the design idea is feasible and the works meet the requirements of subject design.
