Along with the computer monitoring system in promoting use of hydropower station, the monitoring and management of the automation level set the new request. The design of monitoring and control system can not only improve the flexibility of the control and speed, and can strengthen the operation reliability and safety of hydropower station, and present Theoretical basis and technological means toimprove the automation level of hydropower station and achieve the operation mode in which less people work.According to the current requirements of the gate control system in small and medium hydropower stations, the thesis has proposed hierarchical and distributed gate control. The system is divided into the monitoring center workstation and the LCU. According to the actual requirements of monitoring system, it account for the main functions.The hardware designs of the system are the hardware design of the monitoring center and the LCU, and select the applicable PLC, the gate opening sensor and the measuring water level sensor.This artices chooses STEP-7Programming software to write the system control procedures, applicating the WinCC software to monitor and control the system with real-time monitoring function, and design the main fiow screen of control interface, including the control screen, the fault picture figure screen, single control chart, and the group of control chart, etc.Through the communication of the WinCC configuration software with PLC and PLC with intelligent measurement instruments, the system structure the whole communication network of the gate monitoring system.In order to reduce the system error and enture the accuracy and stability of the monitoring system, analysis all kinds of error of the system, and introduce the methods to restrain the interferences.
