With the developing of the industry, the application of PLC in the industrial automation gets moreand more important. The PLC control system can lighten the working strength of the workers, reducethe difficulty of the spot management greatly and can enhance the safety factor. So it reflects theprinciple of the people oriented and upgrades the industrial automation to a new level. In one word, thePLC is a special computer for industry environment application. The PLC provides many I/O interfacesand powerful drive. Because the PLC don't aim at some special industry application, the hardware ofPLC should be chosen and the software should be designed and programmed additionally according tothe requires.The paper introduced the design requires of the PLC control system and the technics and thecontrol flow of the oil extraction joint station. Then the design project of the PLC control system isgiven based on the neural network and iterative PID controller. In the end the communication realitybetween PLC and WinCC and among more than one PLC is introduced. The design of PLC controlsystem for the oil extraction joint station includes hardware design and software design.The hardware design includes deciding the I/O points, choosing the suitable type, charting theconnection map of the hardware. The software design includes programming the trapeziform figureusing STEP7 and designing the surveillant interface using WinCC. The block of STEP7 is usedskillfully when programming. It can't only satisfy the control requires but also simplify the programme.Then the function blocks are analysed detailedly in the paper. The parameter configuration of thehardware is introduced when introducing the communication between PLC and WinCC. Choosing thesuitable communication protocol is the primary content when introducing the communication amongmore the one PLC.
