With the development of programmable logic controller, the application of PLC becomes more and more extensive, due to its high reliability, high performance-price ratio and availability in industrial application and convenient extension feature, PLC has been applied in industrial automatic control process.First the situation is introduced in brief for hydrogen generation by water electrolysis in domestic and abroad. Based on deep analysis of operating principle of hydrogen generation by water electrolysis together with the feature of parameters and requirements on the control system, PLC control technology is put forward to the industrial control process including the configuration of hardware and design of software. The general plan has been established sufficiently. The principle and necessary condition are sated in stress to provide theory evidence for selection, and find the better way for hardware selection to enhance the system reliability and stability.The PLC hardware configuration and program had been designed by configuring software of STEP 7 in article, which designed integrated control program to control the equipment startup, shutdown, regulation, alarm, interlock and state switch. The process and the way of hardware configuration, network configuration and program design for PLC application in industrial process are summarized in article, and the general project has been established in control system.In addition, with help of such strong monitoring software platform, the process and data management pictures have been designed in touch screen and computer. Touch screen is erected on the site control panel provides necessary function with characteristics of easy operation and convenient Human-machine dialogue. The data monitoring and manage computer which configured in control room provides run parameters log and history data inquiring pictures with considering the characteristics in time and integrate. The monitoring interface includes multiple pictures to display all states and parameters for processing with easy operation, in order for operator to monitor the operating state of generator, together with adjusting the parameters and optimizing the output.Finally, by means of test and actual commissioning, the system can be operated in safety, stabilization and reliability with higher measuring accuracy and stronger anti-interference capability. When the main CPU is failure, the hot-standby CPU will switch-over fast in micro-second class. The program logic is right, and the reaction is fast and stable to improve greatly the reliability and automation, to lower the laboring intension, decrease trouble rating and lower the cost. This kind of control system is capable of good expansibility, which the development platform can be provided for one main station to control several control system and takes on extensible and practicable application value.
