As a important fluid machinery, is widely used in industrial and agricultural production and people's life in all sectors and areas, occupying an important position in production and daily life, being widely applied in national economy each industry. At this stage of the pump design, semi-empirical combination is the mainly way, so the pump testing technology play a extremely vital role in pump foundation theory research and development, improvement of the performance and design method of pump. At present, domestic pump test systems mostly still are traditional semi-automatic form, its measuring position is dispersive, all measuring signals are not comprehensive management, and the operation interface is not humanization enough. Compared with foreign countries, technical level is relatively backward.This paper based on this situation, undertake study the pump test principle and method.In the NI LabVIEW2010platform, according to the specific requirements of test systems, blended computer technology, sensor technology, data acquisition and processing technology in virtual instrument technology, build pump testing platform based on virtual instrument technology, developed a complete pump testing system. It can achieve the pump parameters testing, performance testing, cavitation test, data preservation, curve fitting, report generation and other functions.This test system adopts modular design. According to the principle of measurement and test types, each function is prepared as independent subroutine modules, for easy to modify, extend function and upgrade system. When the test system program was first prepared, using LabVIEW simulation to simulate it, then to constantly modify and improve the program. After that, use laboratory test to validate the feasibility of the system, and through error analysis, the test system has reached the Class B accuracy. And compare with data processing results and conclusions of the PSM pump automatic test developed by the China Agricultural Mechanization Institute of science and technology. It found that their test results, performance curve, cavitations test curve fitting line are extremely close. And on this basis, I increase the network module function to it, making it can realize remote operation system interface. And more than that, it has more compact structure, flexible and convenient operation, friendly interface, easy maintenance, low cost advantages. Hardware configuration used the NI PCI-1643data acquisition card, directly connected PC, ensure system running speed, high efficiency, and improve the pump test system precision and degree of automation.The testing system is based on virtual instrument technology combined with the modular design to be developed, has strong universality and expansibility. So after further study, can increase flow regulation automatic control, various types of pumps, pump running test, pump fault diagnosis condition monitoring alarm to make the system function more strong and higher degree of automation.
