As an important kind of literature information resources, sci-tech journals plays an outstanding role in this era of knowledge innovation. It's necessary to publish papers, transmit science and technology information, promote science communication and the development of the discipline and evaluate scientific research. At present, the world has published more than70000kinds of sci-tech journals with different academic level, status, and influence which have different effects. As a result, the effective evaluation for a lot of sci-tech periodicals is the foundation to select high quality journals. In view of this situation, this paper tries to evaluate sci-tech periodicals using the statistical method.This paper is organized as follows. Chapter1outlines the concept of sci-tech periodicals, describes the background and the significance of sci-tech periodicals evaluation as well as the sci-tech periodical evaluation status domestic and overseas; Chapter2introduces three kinds of necessary basics theories on periodicals evaluation, frequently-used evaluation indexes and cardinally existing journal quantitative tools. Chapter3summaries some kinds of journal evaluation methods and introduces emphatically the basic theory of PAC and KPAC, studies a few of kinds of data transformations and discovered that the mean of the effect of the mean of data transform is better. In Chapter4, I made comprehensive evaluation to the probability and statistics of professional journals, studied the relationships of JIF, SJR, and Eigenfactor, compared the influence of different data transforms, different periodical evaluation methods and the different systems of evaluation indexes,and I made use of KPAC evaluate the probability and statistics of professional periodicals and classified them into three groups. Chapter5summarizes the paper's work, and proposes the direction of the further research.
