For the current status of heavy transport of mine production, we designed a set of underground rail transport control system. This article draws on existing research of transport control systems, and we propose and complete the mine rail transport system based on PLC.First we described the components and functions of the coal mine rail transport control system, and then we described the theoretical basis of the monitoring system, and analyzed and compared major underground rail transport control systems which were currently used in our country. At last the system which based on PLC was proposed. This system is made of an industrial machine, the control sub-stations, the reader units, transmitters and switch machines through a network of RS485.This article describes the basic theory of Petri nets and the modeling approach, as the rail transport as application background, a locomotive model is established based on Petri net. And we show its computer implementation, and the application of the actual project has proven its validity and practicability. This paper focuses on hardware and software designing of the monitor system. The hardware designing of the monitoring system, which contents of the hardware designing of sub-stations, the reader units, transmitters and the switch machines. And we give the software designing of each module, and draw the flowchart of each module. Finally, we give the host computer configuration of the control system, which highlighted the interface design based on MCGS, and using the database technology of MCGS achieves the tramcars'management and flexible and precise controlling. This system can be used in large, medium and small coal mines, and has great potential and broad prospects.
