Analysis Of Military Medicine And Related Journals And Inspiration

Bulletin of the Academy of Military Medical Sciences have been renamed Military Medical Sciences, the journal will change from one institution's journal to the whole Military Medicine's journal. Compared to the quondam journal,the new journal has new aims,new subject and domain. These changes require the journal's quality will be better.This dissertation fully researched the actuality of Bulletin of the Academy of Military Medical Sciences and practical problems after be renamed Military Medical Sciences,and used other journal's successful experience for reference,also researched present situation of Chinese military medicine's research and development. We combined successful experience of other journals and our country's practical situation, and afford inspirations for running the journal well.The first part of the dissertation focus on theories and applications of citing network and mapping knowledge domains, analyzed the citing network of Military Medicine. Citing network was first advanced by Derek J. de Solla Price in 1965.Case about applications of citing is the use of Eigenfactor. Mapping knowledge domains is modern science analyze method. Citing analyze technique , Co-cited analyze technique,multivariate analyze technique are also its methods. CitespaceⅡis free-used second generation tool of information visualization employed by Chaomei Chen, who is doctor of Drexl University.The second part of the dissertation researched and defined related journals of Military Medicine. Results showed that American journal of public health, The Journal of the American Medical Association, New England journal of medicine, Lancet, Journal of Trauma: Injury, Infection, and Critical Care are all related journals of Military Medicine by analyzing the citing network of Military Medicine, and select the top 10 journals. This search used mapping knowledge domains and CitespaceⅡ, analyzed the source journals, citing journals and co-cited journals of Military Medicine. Among the 30 journals,2 journals appeared twice,9 journals appeared three times. Finally the number of related journals of Military Medicine was 19.The third part focus on analyzing about related journals of Military Medicine. Replace Military Medicine by the citing network. The analysis is mainly about keywords, key-cited-papers, institutions, authors and so on. Results show that citing network of Military Medicine has keywords as prevalence, health, trauma, Afghanistan, risk-factors, mortality and so on."Mild traumatic brain injury in US Soldiers returning from Iraq""Comparisons of disease and no battle injury incidence across various military operations"and some other papers compose the key-cited-papers. Hoge CW,Gray GC,Kessler RC are some famous authors,Uniformed Serv Univ Hlth Sci, USN and Univ Texas are some important institutions. Analyzed 5 journals including American journal of public health and Journal of Trauma: Injury, Infection, and Critical Care. Results show the relationship between the citing network and American military medicine.Emphasis of the forth part is present situation of Chinese military medicine. We find military medicine's position, branch subjects, keystones, high yield author, and institutions. Research and edit the searching language of articles about military medicine in CNKI. The analyzing includes high-cited authors, high-cited key words, high yield authors, institutions and high frequency keywords. Results show that,MH and management, aerospace medicine, military training injury, medical support, epidemiology and mental health are important subjects. Second military Medical University, The Third Military Medical University, The Fourth Military Medical University, Academy of Military Medical Sciences, PLA General Hospital are some important institutions. Each institution has preponderant subject. XU Xianrong, ZHANG Lulu, CHENG Tianmin, WANG Dewen, SUN Qingxi are some high yield authors consistent with important subjects. The search also shows some new domains. Such as military stress medicine, military rehabilitation, military cognitive neuroscience, rescue medicine.The fifth part summarized preceding four parts and find inspirations for running the journal well from Military Medicine. First, articles published journal must have relatively steady domains,and trail it for a long time. Second, surround with"military medicine"closely, and hold the dynamic and progress of military medicine. Third, Military Medical Sciences should focus on changes of military medicine by operations and their influence. Forth, pay attention to integration of resources and multivariate of institution. Take out countermeasure after research the difficulty of subsistence and development from Chinese military medicine journal. First, hold the important domain of Chinese military medicine, combine with situation of Academy of Military Medical Sciences,make the change smoothly. Second, enhance resource sharing, request great musters'articles , and enhance cooperation with other institutions. Third,keep an eye on operations of our Amy,and changes and new domain of military medicine by these operations. Forth, pay attention to new requirements to military medicine come with new revolution in military affairs.
