As one of the application of the Internet of Things in intelligent transport system, Internet of Vehicles is paid more and more attention. Intelligent transport system that based on Internet of Vehicles is regarded as effective measure to guarantee the safety of highway transport. The main work of this paper is design of an intelligent terminal system for Internet of Vehicles in highway. The principle of this terminal system is that, with the Internet of Vehicles established by the inter-vehicles communication, each vehicle transmits its position information, and receives other vehicles' position information. The position information is obtained from position system in each vehicle. With the help of the position information of the vehicles around, each vehicle can predict the potential danger.This paper firstly analyzes the hardware circuit of this system. With the circuit diagram and PCB diagram, the main parts of the hardware system, such as power source, clock crystal, serial port, Ethernet interface, USB interface and SD card interface, are fully explained. Then the software of this system is analyzed. The software parts include the methods that establish multi-tasking environment with uCOS-II, the algorithm that predicts the vehicle position, the mechanism that helps to access the wireless channel of Ad-hoc internet without impact, and the programs that control the peripheral. The debug results of this system are given, which prove the success of this design. This paper lastly raises an improved Optimized Link State Routing algorithm that based position. The simulation results show that this routing algorithm can make the performance of network improved in highway environment.
