The Application Of Internet Of Things In Intelligent Transport System

With the increasing traffic pressure in Beijing, the public transportation, as an important part of urban transportation, carries on the responsibilities of relieving the transportation ingestion and raising the efficiency of traveling. The level of the development of public transportation not only embodies the image of Beijing, but also be related with every citizen.Nowadays, the road network of Beijing has formed a ring and radial pattern with the several decades of building and improving. Because of the increasing urban population, the construction of ITS has becomed the only way to sustain the Beijing's transportation. The ITS is the orientation of future transportation. It makes the traditional transportation pattern more intelligent, safe, green and efficient by high technology.The IOT, as an important part of a new generation information technology, connects anything into the internet, exchanges information and communicates according to formed protocol through the RFID,GPS and other information sensing device. With the developing of IOT, there will be giving impetus to the develop and improve of the ITS.As a new power of Beijing public transportation system, the emergence of Bus Rapid Transit proposes a new idea for improving the efficiency of Beijing public transportation. Based on fully investigation and the actual problems of the BRT line 2, this essay combine the IOT tech, wireless communication and computer tech, puts forward a whole intelligent solution which includes the whole software design and each function module's design for the BRT line 2. This solution aims at improving the level of the operation of BRT line 2 and level of information, reducing the costs of the management and providing a much better, more comfortable, more convenient condition for public. This essay also proposes a design of the car terminal by the tech of RFID, ARM and wireless communication, and proves the feasibility of design of car terminal.Finally, this essay arranges the next step of work on the application of this whole system.
